VOV Online marks 20 years since its establishment

VOV.VN - Over the course of the past 20 years, VOV Online Newspaper under Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) has developed into an important pillar of the national broadcaster.

A ceremony was held in Hanoi on September 6 to commemorate 20 years since the establishment of VOV Online on the occasion of VOV’s 74th founding anniversary.

In attendance at the event are Vo Van Thuong, a Politburo member and Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, in addition to Hoang Trung Hai, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, and Phan Dien, former member of the Political Bureau and permanent member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee. Joining them are leaders from relevant ministries and agencies from Hanoi and other localities.

Upon addressing the ceremony, VOV President Nguyen The Ky highlights the spirit of innovation, creativity, enthusiasm, and responsibility that VOV staff have for their job. Staff such as reporters, editors, technicians, and collaborators are praised for their great contribution to the growth of VOV Online.

On behalf of the Prime Minister, VOV President Nguyen The Ky presents the Government’s emulation flag to VOV Online's staff.

On behalf of the VOV Online staff, Editor-in-Chief Pham Manh Hung thanks the Party, State leaders, and VOV leaders for their attention and encouragement over the past 20 years. He notes that the landmark has been a great honour which should give great encouragement to VOV Online to make greater strides in order to develop into the nation's leading e-newspaper and as an effective pillar of VOV.
