Vietnam wins four golds at International Chemistry Olympiad 2020
VOV.VN - All four Vietnamese students competing in the International Chemistry Olympiad 2020 in Turkey have claimed gold medals, according to a statement made by the Ministry of Education and Training on July 30.
The winning students are the 11th and 12th graders of gifted schools in Hanoi, Hai Phong, Nghe An and Nam Dinh provinces.
This year’s competition has attracted the participation of contestants from 60 countries globally.
As a result of the complicated developments relating to the novel coronavirus, all the contestants had to compete in the Remote Access Exam.
Overall, Vietnam ranked second in the competition, only behind the United States.
This represents the best result recorded by a Vietnamese team at the International Chemistry Olympiad in the competition’s history.
