Vietnam wins big at Korea International Youth Olympiad
VOV.VN - Local students successfully brought home a special award, along with two gold and one silver medals, at the Korea International Youth Olympiad - KIYO 4i, which was held from August 4 to 6 in the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The Vietnam 2 team, including five students from Hanoi and Quang Ninh province, bagged a gold medal and won the Grand Prix award at KIYO 4i.
Another gold medal went to the Vietnam 1 team which consisted of five students from Hanoi-Amsterdam high school for gift students, the High School for gifted students of Vietnam National University-Hanoi, and the High School for gifted students under Hanoi National University of Education.
Three students from secondary schools in the northern provinces of Bac Ninh and Ha Nam who were members of Vietnam 3 team also clinched a silver medal.
Organised by the World Women Inventors and Entrepreneurs Association, KIYO 4i promotes the spirit of four “I’s” – Idea, Invention, Innovation, Intellectual Property.
The event aims to provide an important venue for young people to come together to enhance their creativity in science and technology whilst gaining worldly experience by travelling and competing abroad.
This year’s event drew the participation of over 190 teams from 10 countries around the world.
