Vietnamese students win gold at World Invention Creativity Olympiad
VOV.VN - Five local students picked up a gold medal at the 13th World Invention Creativity Olympic (WICO) which took place from July 23 to July 24 at Seoul National University of Education in the Republic of Korea (RoK).
With the research topic being new fuels to help promote the efficiency of electricity transmission and reduce production costs for solar cells, the group of Vietnamese students were ultimately successful in bringing home the gold medal.
They were made up of Nguyen Anh Hoang and Hoang Duc Tam of the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted, Pham Quang Duc and Chu Quang Huy of the High School for gifted students, Hanoi National University of Education, and Nguyen Dac Khoa of Nguyen Sieu High School.
The 13th WICO was organised by the Korean University Invention Association and sponsored by the National Assembly of the RoK.
This year's competition featured the participation of about 2,000 students from nearly 140 competing teams from 25 countries worldwide.
