Vietnam-Singapore youngsters promote links in digital transformation
VOV.VN - Young people of both Vietnam and Singapore will organise annual cooperation programmes ono digital transformation and voluntary activities.
The agreement was made at a meeting held on August 28 in Hanoi between the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee of Vietnam and the National Youth Council of Singapore.
At the event Bui Quang Huy, first secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, warmly welcomed the working visit to Vietnam by Singapore’s National Youth Council delegation to mark 50 years of diplomatic ties and 10 years of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The two sides supported each other during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, including the donation of medical supplies and technological support, vividly demonstrating their robust partnership, Huy noted.
David Chua, head of Singapore’s National Youth Council, stressed that the mutual trust and respect that exists has made important contributions to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region, as well as throughout the wider world.
During the meeting, delegates agreed to effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two sides in the 2023 - 2028 period.
Both countries focus on holding annual programmes on digital transformation cooperation, supporting Vietnamese youth to improve their foreign language skills through exchanges, and assisting each other in multilateral forums, especially those of ASEAN and ASEAN+.
