Vietnam and Singapore sign seven cooperation documents in Hanoi
VOV.VN - Vietnam and Singapore signed seven cooperation documents in Hanoi on August 28 during Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s ongoing visit to Vietnam at the invitation of his Vietnamese counterpart Pham Minh Chinh.
The signed documents were focused on research programmes for senior Vietnamese officials for 2024-2026, an upgrade of the 2005 Vietnam-Singapore economic connectivity agreement, innovative talent exchange, education cooperation, and skill development for workers.
Among the signed documents was a letter of intent between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Singapore on continuing to implement the Memorandum of Understanding under Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.
The two sides also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on promoting sustainable infrastructure development in Ho Chi Minh City between the Ho Chi Minh City administration and Singapore’s Infrastructure Asia.
The signing of the documents came after high-level talks in Hanoi on the same day between Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
The signing ceremony was witnessed by the two PMs.
