USAID grants VND12.3 billion to homes hit by floods in Quang Ngai province
VOV.VN - The US Agency for International Development (USAID) has provided a sum of VND12.3 billion to 465 households in Nghia Hanh district of Quang Ngai province in order to contribute to repair work and to reinforce local houses that were damaged by typhoons and flooding last year.
The Quang Ngai provincial People’s Committee issued a decision on March 4 aimed at approving the aid package, along with asking Nghia Hanh district’s People Commitee to co-operate alongside the USAID to distribute the funding.
This move will see a total of VND11.6 billion distributed directly to 465 households over two separate phases.
The remaining sum of the donation will be used in an effort to support implementation work aimed at overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and repairing the homes of local residents.
