Transnational drug trafficking ring smashed

VOV.VN - Police forces operating in the northern province of Dien Bien recently announced the arrest of seven men for allegedly trafficking 72 heroin cakes and 552,000 ecstasy pills.

The four suspects include Vang A Phu, 25, Chang A Minh, 33, Ly A De, 32, and Trang A Minh, 23, all of whom were arrested by police in Dien Bien province in early April.

The group admitted to the police that the drugs had been brought over the border from Laos into Vietnam.

A few days later, relevant agencies were then able to catch Phang A Pho, 34, Phang A Do, 33, and Chang A Dua, 53, while making transactions in the border area.

The case is currently under further investigation.
