Thanh Hoa busts drug trafficking ring
VOV.VN - Police operating in the northern central province of Thanh Hoa reported on June 22 that they have successfully halted a drug trafficking ring operating between Hanoi and the locality.
According to the investigation, the masterminds behind the ring were Chu Son Vuong, 31, and Le Minh Tu, 33, both residing in Hanoi.
Vuong and Tu co-operated with other suspects in Thanh Hoa in order to carry out their drug trading activities.
Police revealed that when receiving orders from drug addicts, Vuong contacted Tu to send the drugs from Hanoi to Thanh Hoa via passenger coaches.
Vuong and his accomplices then received the shipments, put them in public places, and then informed the buyers to come and collect them.
Upon expanding the case, the police also arrested nine other suspects who are living in Thanh Hoa and Hanoi and moved to confiscate 500 amphetamine pills, more than 100g of meth, one gun, 14 bullets, and other related exhibits.
An investigation into the matter is currently ongoing.
