Tay Ninh receives 353 Vietnamese involved in illegal casino labour in Cambodia
VOV.VN - The Border Guard Command of Tay Ninh province, in coordination with local police, on August 15 received 353 Vietnamese nationals who had been involved in illegal labour and residency in Cambodia at the Xa Mat International Border Gate.

Among them, 339 had valid passports when exiting Cambodia, while 14 crossed the border illegally. None of the cases involved individuals subject to immigration restrictions or wanted for criminal offences.
Police verification confirmed that the repatriated citizens reside in 31 provinces and cities across Vietnam. The returnees admitted that they had used social media to seek job opportunities and were guided to work in Cambodian casinos. Their roles primarily included security, ticket control, cleaning, and cooking.
Authorities completed entry procedures for 253 citizens who still had passports, while the remaining 86, who lost their passports, are undergoing further verification.
The Xa Mat International Border Gate Border Guard Station issued administrative penalty notices to 14 individuals for illegally crossing the border.
