85 Vietnamese citizens repatriated from Cambodia
VOV.VN - The Military Command of southern Dong Nai province, in coordination with relevant agencies, received 85 Vietnamese nationals repatriated by Cambodian authorities via the Hoa Lu International Border Gate on July 30.

The repatriation followed efforts by the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia, which coordinated with local authorities to conduct interviews and verify the identities of the individuals on July 23 in Kratie province. The group had been detained during a nationwide crackdown on online fraud and criminal networks, launched under the direction of Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.
Preliminary screenings confirmed that the returnees came from 22 provinces and cities across Vietnam.
At the handover, the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command worked with relevant authorities to verify identities and complete administrative procedures. Health officials also conducted medical checks to assess their physical condition.
Ahead of the reception, Dong Nai authorities had instructed the provincial police to coordinate with localities where the individuals are registered in order to confirm their identities. A working group was deployed to assist in the repatriation process in accordance with legal procedures.
Dong Nai has also intensified its own efforts to crack down on online fraud schemes that lure citizens with false job offers, often resulting in illegal migration to “online scam centers” or “disguised casinos” in Cambodia.
