Russian tourist rescued from drowning in rough seas off Nha Trang
VOV.VN - A Russian tourist was rescued from near-drowning while swimming in dangerous surf conditions at Nha Trang beach, central Vietnam, around midday on October 22.

The incident occurred near the beach along Tran Phu Street in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province. The man, around 50 years old, ignored warnings and entered the water despite strong waves. He was quickly swept into deeper waters and began to drown.
Lifeguards from the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, along with the tourist’s companion, responded swiftly. The victim was pulled ashore and received cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on site.
After several minutes of resuscitation, he regained a pulse and began breathing again. He was then transported to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for further medical care.
Just days earlier, on October 18, another male tourist was swept away by strong waves while swimming near a beach on Tran Phu Street.
Thanks to the quick response of the rescue team, the victim was brought safely ashore and transferred to Khanh Hoa General Hospital for a medical examination.
According to beach lifeguards, recent days have seen dangerously high waves and strong winds in the area due to the impacts of Typhoon Fengshen. Authorities have urged locals and visitors to avoid swimming during such dangerous conditions and to strictly follow lifeguard instructions to ensure safety.
