Pilots survive as military trainer aircraft crashes in Quang Nam
VOV.VN - Two pilots survived in a military trainer aircraft crash in Quang Nam, a locality in central Vietnam, on January 9 morning.
The incident happened at around 11:15, according to Nguyen Xuan Hoa, deputy head of the administration of Dien Nam Bac ward of Dien Ban town, Quang Nam province.
SU-22M4 suddenly fell into an empty lot of land in Dien Nam Bac ward and the pilots managed to escape the plane before the crash, Hoa told local media outlets.
As the plane crashed into the empty lot of land, the incident caused no civil casualties.
Preliminary reports show the plane took off at 11:04, and after 10 minutes in the sky captain Do Duc Tien who controlled the aircraft informed that the plane could not land due to an unknown incident.
He was ordered by the flight commander to try to get the plane out of a populated area and parachute.
The provincial military command rushed to the scene to investigate the cause of the crash.
