Party membership expanded among Vietnamese students in Russia’s Ekaterinburg city
The Vietnamese Party cell in Ekaterinburg city, Russia, is experiencing significant growth in student membership, with 80% of members being students from three central Russian oblasts.
Vietnamese Consul General and Secretary of the Party cell of the Consulate General in the city Nguyen Mai Huong said in 2024, the cell officially recognised one new full member and admitted six candidates to the Party. Many probationary members are also expected to become full members soon.
Huong highlighted that the core Party members of the youth union chapters and students' associations in Ekaterinburg and Tyumen cities have shown their exemplary role in the Party cell’s activities, helping improve the political thought among young Party members and youth union members through discussions on Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, and the Communist Party of Vietnam's revolutionary achievements over the past 95 years.
A notable achievement in 2024 was a team of Vietnamese students in Ekaterinburg winning the third place at the 4th annual competition on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation held by the Party organisation of the Central Agencies' Bloc.
