Of the total incidents, 265 occurred on roads, causing 126 deaths and 200 injuries; one accident happened on the railway, killing one person and injuring three; and two accidents were recorded on waterways, leaving one person dead.

The Ministry also noted that traffic police nationwide were on full duty, intensifying patrols and inspections to enforce traffic laws.

Throughout the reviewed period, officers detected and handled 41,776 violations of traffic regulations and 11,360 speeding cases. Violators were fined over VND118 billion in total, with nearly 12,000 vehicles temporarily seized and 1,313 driving licenses revoked.

During the holiday period, the hotline of the National Traffic Safety Committee received more than 11 messages and calls from citizens reporting various issues, including passenger overloads, accidents, traffic congestion on several routes, and overcrowding at tourist destinations. The committee promptly directed relevant authorities to verify and handle the reported information.
