Nearly 94,000 people in HCM City vaccinated on August 13
VOV.VN - Ho Chi Minh City is continuing to speed up its vaccination campaign, with 93,993 doses being administered to local people on August 13.
According to information provided by the municipal Health Department, 17,916 doses of the overall figure were the Vero Cell COVID-19 vaccine developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group (Sinopharm).
In total, 3,399,000 people were administered from July 22 to August 13, with all of them being in a stable health condition following their injection.
The past two days has seen Tu Du and Hung Vuong Hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City offer COVID-19 vaccines to pregnant women from the 13th week of their pregnancy, following the Ministry of Health encouraging this group to get the jab.
Moreover, District 11 of the southern city has become the first locality to complete the inoculation process for 94.67% people aged above 18.
The remaining 5% people are made up of individuals who did not agree to be vaccinated, those with allergies, or those absent from the locality.
At present, several cases who previously delayed the vaccination due to health problems are being given their vaccine shots by local health facilities.
