More than 200 billionaires worldwide to take part in climate festival in Vietnam

VOV.VN - More than 200 billionaires and influential figures from various countries worldwide are expected to come to Vietnam to jointly create a “billionaire garden” and participate in environmental and artistic activities in Ha Long city of Quang Ninh province as part of the Art for Climate Festival Ha Long 2025.

This was one of the key highlights announced at a press conference on February 20 to introduce the Art for Climate Festival Ha Long 2025, which will feature more than 20 activities to be organized from now until June 2025.

Themed For the Future of the Earth, the festival is set to garner significant interest, support, and participation from numerous leaders, artists, businesses, and international partners, said the organisers.

According to the Center for Environmental and Natural Resources Communication under the former Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Art for Climate Festival Ha Long 2025 is a special cultural, tourism, media, and artistic event to be held for the first time in Vietnam. It aims to raise public awareness and action on environmental protection and global climate change response.

The event is also expected to contribute to promoting the value of Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site, as well as national and world cultural heritage values.

A representative from the Center for Environmental and Natural Resources Communication emphasized that every action from participants, including government representatives, organizations, businesses, artists, billionaires, influencers, and the general public, will collectively have a significant impact, helping to drive energy transition, reduce emissions, and contribute to achieving global and national climate goals.

For Quang Ninh province, the festival is also an opportunity to enhance international exchange, showcase its competitive advantages, promote its transparent and favourable investment environment, and engage in cooperation and knowledge-sharing on green economic development with global partners and businesses.
