More Mongolia-related information to be broadcast on VOV platforms
VOV.VN - The Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will make more programmes to introduce Mongolia, its land, people, culture as well as cooperation achievements between Vietnam and Mongolia via its various broadcasting platforms, VOV President Do Tien Sy assured Mongolian Ambassador to Vietnam Jigjee Sereejav.
Receiving the diplomat in Hanoi on September 14, Sy highlighted the positive development of the traditional friendship and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Mongolia, a country which he said top Vietnamese leaders have shown their good appreciation for.
He told his guest that VOV, a leading State-owned media agency with its strength in various broadcasting platforms, has disseminated information about activities of Vietnamese and Mongolian leaders as well as socio-economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
He recalled a vocal contest Let’s Sing Vietnam hosted by VOV in 2021 in which a Mongolian contestant won special prize and said the vocalist helped cement the traditional friendship between the two counties.
The president also said VOV would produce more programmes about Mongolia and relations between Mongolia and Vietnam, revealing that a VOV delegation would travel to Mongolia to prepare in-depth reports in the leadup to the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2024.
He proposed that Mongolia and the ambassador personally provide continued support for cultural exchanges as part of cooperative relations between the two countries in the future.
He also proposed that the Mongolian Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with VOV and the Vietnam – Mongolian Friendship Association host a contest on Vietnam – Mongolia diplomatic relations to celebrate 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Jigjee Sereejav for his part highly appreciated VOV’s role and welcomed Sy’s proposals, saying the Mongolian side would create all favourable conditions for the VOV delegation to complete its task during the coming working trip.
He also proposed that VOV’s TV channels air more Mongolian films featuring history, nomadic culture as well as contemporary life of this country.
VOV is one of the leading State-owned media agencies in Vietnam, boasting 16 TV channels, eight radio channels, two online papers and a print paper.
