Man arrested for trafficking 14 kg of drugs across Laos-Vietnam border
VOV.VN - Authorities at the Cau Treo International Border Gate, Ha Tinh province, have arrested a drug trafficker for transporting 14kg of drugs from Laos into Vietnam.

The man, Le Van Loi, 32, was apprehended in a joint operation involving border guards and customs officerson September 25. The detainee, residing in Kim Son village, Ky Xuan commune, Ha Tinh province, was attempting to enter the country at the immigration checkpoint of the Cau Treo International Border Gate.
Searching his luggage, the authorities discovered 14 kg of drugs, including 7,500 ecstasy pills, 4.7 kg of ketamine, 4.2 kg of a liquid synthetic drug, 600 grams of a yellow powder suspected to be a synthetic drug and 40 amphetamine pills.
During questioning, Loi confessed that he had been hired by a Vietnamese individual to transport the drugs along a route from Thailand through Laos into Vietnam.
Further investigation into the case is underway.
