Lao Cai woman arrested for drug trafficking

VOV.VN - The Anti-Drug Trafficking Department in the northern province of Lao Cai has apprehended a woman who was caught trafficking 10 bricks of heroin in Coc Leu Ward.

The suspect was identified as Tan Thi Chan, born in 1983, living in Pha Long Commune, Muong Khuong District, Lao Cai Province.

Chan was caught red-handed at around 19:00 on October 16 at An Duong Vuong street, Coc Leu Ward, Lao Cai City, while she was carrying 10 bricks of heroin for consumption.

Apart from heroin, local police also collected some relevant documents. 

A further investigation is underway.
