Lao Cai border guards hand over wanted man to Chinese authorities
VOV.VN - Border guards operating at the Lao Cai International Border Gate have successfully arrested one Chinese nationality who had been wanted by the Chinese police.
This comes after officers detected a Chinese man at 2 a.m. on August 30 as he was in the process of attempting to swim across the border through a river located at national border landmark 99(2)+1200 close to Kim Thanh bridge.
Upon discovering the man, he was identified as a 33-year-old from Yunnan in China. Under questioning he told authorities that he was wanted by Chinese police and had therefore decided to run away by attempting to illegally enter Vietnam.
