Japan PM’s spouse visits children with disabilities in Vietnam
Japanese Prime Minister’s spouse Akie Abe visited disabled children who are receiving treatment at Hanoi Rehabilitation Hospital on January 16.

Japan is interested in supporting disabled and needy children, she said, adding that the Japanese government wants to assist Vietnam in developing more programmes.
Director of the hospital Pham Van Minh said the 156-member staff has treated more than 4,000 disabled children with various therapies.
Japanese delegations visit the hospital regularly and provide equipment and Saori training, he noted.
The same day, Ms. Abe met with outstanding Vietnamese youngsters who used to attend the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Programme – which was initiated by Japan in 1974.
