Huge whale makes surprise appearance in Nha Trang Bay
VOV.VN - A large whale was spotted swimming in Nha Trang Bay, located in south-central Khanh Hoa province, on July 22, sparking excitement among local residents.
A 10-minute video, filmed by Nguyen Duy Khuong of the Sailing Club Divers, shows the whale gliding through the bay and hunting for food.
Khuong said that although the animal was quite far from shore, its massive size was still clearly visible. He quickly used his phone to capture the rare sighting.
According to the Nha Trang Bay Management Board, the whale’s appearance is a positive sign, indicating that the local marine environment has improved and can now support such species.
In recent months, whales have also been spotted off the coasts of Khanh Hoa, Gia Lai, and Dak Lak provinces.
