Hanoi Run for Children 2016 to kick off in December
VOV.VN - The annual Hanoi Run for Children (HRC) will begin at the main gate of Thong Nhat (Reunification) Park in Hanoi on December 11, it was released at a press conference in Hanoi on November 24.
The HRC was established in 2000, formerly known as the Terry Fox Run Hanoi (2000-2008).
It has attracted more than 80,000 participants and raised more than VND9 billion to assist underprivileged children with cancer and heart disease treatment.
Last year, HRC attracted more than 10,000 participants and raised more than VND 1 billion to assist underprivileged children with cancer and heart disease treatment at the National Hospital of Pediatrics, Hanoi Heart Hospital and in the Heart Beat Vietnam program of VinaCapital Foundation.
The event was held by the Vietnam-Canada Friendship Association (VCFA), the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO), the Embassy of Canada to Vietnam, Manulife Vietnam, and the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi.
