Hanoi announces new bus service from downtown to Noi Bai

VOV.VN -Hanoians looking for a fast, cheap and easy way to get to Noi Bai Airport will soon be able to step on to special city buses running to and from the airport from the city’s downtown area.

The Hanoi People’s Committee along with the Hanoi Transportation Service Joint Stock Company (Transerco) announced new bus routes starting April 30, complete with dedicated transit lines.

Nguyen Hoang Trung, deputy general director of Transerco, said travel times would improve up to an estimated 50%

The buses will run every quarter of an hour from 5:10 am to 22:30 pm, inclusive.

The fares for the service run US$1.35 (VND30,000) each way.

In addition to the new bus services, there are ongoing discussions with other private transporters to open more routes to the airport as well, said the Hanoi People’s Committee.
