Fire rips through HCM City wood processing company

The blaze was sparked from a wooden workshop of Nam Thien Phat Trading Production Company Limited at 10pm on April 19 with thick plumes of black smoke swirling into the sky. People in the neighbourhood tried to break the door to take the finished wood products out of the workshop.

Immediately after hearing the news , fire fighters and seven fire engines rushed to the scene to extinguish the blaze. The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes.

No casualties were reported but the fire destroyed a large quantity of materials. The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
