Fire engulfs warehouse at Agricultural Science Institute in Quy Nhon

VOV.VN - At 4am on October 30, a massive fire broke out at a warehouse in the campus of Agricultural Science Institute for Southern Central Coast of Vietnam (ASISOV) in Nhon Phu ward, Quy Nhon city in the south central province of Binh Dinh.

Local witnesses said the blaze along with huge explosions left residents in the region panicking. After the fire alarm was raised, seven fire engines and more than 40 fire fighters heroically rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighbouring areas.

However, fire brigade team encountered difficulties in getting closer to the scene due to the huge flames and explosions from the blaze.

It took until 6 am for the fire to finally be brought under control, however it did destroy a warehouse containing mosquito repellent and a truck.

The investigation of the incident is still underway.
