Fire rips through woodcraft village in Dong Nai

VOV.VN - A huge fire broke out in the woodcraft village in Tan Hoa ward, Bien Hoa city in the southern province of Dong Nai on the evening of October 24.

Local witnesses said that at 8:30 pm, a fire sparked from a wooden workshop in Tan Hoa ward and quickly engulfed the workshop in flames. Witnesses also stated that the blaze spread quickly to other workshops.

When the alarm was raised, a number of fire engines rushed to the scene with dozens of fire fighters battling to extinguish the blaze.

Fire brigade teams encountered difficulties in tackling the inferno as the wooden workshops contained different types of paints and other flammable chemicals.

Several business owners of wooden workshops nearby tried to mobilize people and vehicles to help evacuate their assets. The fire lasted for 2 hours before finally being subdued around 10:30 pm.
