Festival to honour Vietnamese family traditional values

The Vietnamese Family Festival 2016 will be held from June 25-28 at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts at No.2 Hoa Lu Street in Hanoi to celebrate the 15th anniversary of National Family Day (June 28).

The festival aims to honour and promote the culture and traditions of Vietnamese families in building a modern and civilised society.

The event will feature an exhibition of 100 photos, which were selected from the photography contest ‘Bon Mua Yeu Thuong’ (Four Loving Seasons).

There will also be a number of seminars and exchanges focusing on upholding family culture and creating a healthy environment for family development to prevent negative impacts of the market on family background and lifestyle.

To promote reading culture and to encourage people to build-up their own family library’s, the festival will showcase a large number of books on the family.

Entitled ‘Family health care and practicing life skills’, the festival will organise a number of activities, such as seminars focusing on family health care, free medical check-ups for the elderly, yoga performances and swimming lessons for children.

The festival will offer many activities for all members of the family in order to encourage them to make their houses a loving home as a contribution to building a developed and happy community.
