Extreme weather damages hundreds of homes in Dien Bien
VOV.VN -An array of heavy hail showers as well as a tornado have hit Dien Bien province, leaving one person missing and destroying 255 homes in the process, according to local officials.

The missing victim has been identified as Lo Van Duong of Huoi Trang village, Tua Thang commune, Tua Chua district.
As well as the damage to the homes of residents, the tornado also unroofed 14 local schools, sunk a boat on the Da River, and destroyed a gymnasium.
The Dien Bien district Board of Natural Disaster Prevention, Control, Search and Rescue has mobilised support for local people dealing with the consequences of the natural disasters.
Those affected will be hoping to restore production in order to stabilize their lives as soon as possible.
