Dozens of students hospitalised after breakfast, a death reported
VOV.VN - As many as 32 students from two schools in Vinh Truong ward of Nha Trang city, central Vietnam, were hospitalised on April 5 after a breakfast, with a student passing away in hospital.
The students from Vinh Truong Primary School and Tran Hung Dao Secondary School showed signs of vomiting and difficulty breathing after eating fast food at several small eateries in front of their schools.
Among the students admitted to the Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital, a female fifth grader student died.
According to information provided by the provincial Department of Health, the student was suffering from an underlying heart disease.
The remaining students are in a stable health condition and currently under strict monitoring, said local authorities.
The administration of Nha Trang City has directed relevant units to investigate the cause of the case.
