VOV.VN - All preparations for the 25th Vietnam International Mathematics Competition (VIMC 2025) slated for August 15 – 18 have been completed, according to the municipal administration.

Students from 29 international delegations and hosts Vietnam will sit for exam at Vietnam – Korea University of Information and Communication Technology.

The university has finalized preparations for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as all competition-related activities. Eighty volunteers have been recruited and trained in essential skills. The facilities include 110 accommodation rooms for contestants and teachers, along with fully equipped exam rooms and working spaces for the jury.

The venue features 12 official exam rooms, 2 backup rooms, meeting rooms, and dedicated areas for preparing and grading papers, all outfitted with the necessary equipment. In addition, the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has arranged 10 booths showcasing promotional materials to highlight the city’s tourism and attractions.

The contest features two levels, one for students in grades 6–7, born after August 14, 2012, and the other for students in grades 8–9, born after August 14, 2011.

“This is an important competition that helps to affirm Da Nang’s reputation and standing in the international education arena. I hope that all members of the steering committee, together with relevant departments and agencies, will devote their full effort and cooperation to ensure VIMC 2025 is organised to the highest standard, leaving a positive and lasting impression on contestants, teachers, and professors from the participating international delegations,” said Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, vice chairwoman of the municipal administration during an inspection trip to the university.
