Cybersecurity Handbook for Women Leaders launched

VOV.VN - The UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) in collaboration with the Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Council (VWEC) officially launched the "Cybersecurity Handbook for Women Leaders” in Hanoi on June 15.

The launching ceremony took place as part of the programme called Women, Peace and Cybersecurity: Promoting Women's Peace and Security in the Digital World.

The objective of the scheme is to improve the capacity to use and exploit secure digital information and data in cyberspace for female-owned enterprises, associations, and clubs of women entrepreneurs, social organisations, as well as accelerating digital transformation among female-owned social organisations and businesses.

At the function, delegates shared information about opportunities and challenges faced by female-owned businesses in the digital era, cybersecurity for businesses in general and female-owned businesses in particular. In addition, they also focused on solutions to support them to improve digital transformation capacity and ensure cyber security in the current context.

The launch of the “Cybersecurity Handbook for Women Leaders” can be considered of great significance as it equips female leaders with the knowledge, expertise, and resources to react quickly and confidently in the cybersecurity space, whilst simultaneously increasing the nation’s resilience and vigilance in its own digital infrastructure.
