Crown Prince chairs second-night funeral chanting for late King Bhumibol
His Royal Highness Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn yesterday attended the second-night funeral chanting of His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Dusit Maha Prasat Throne Hall in the Grand Palace.
His Royal Highness paid homage to the royal remains in the golden urn, and then proceeded to the front of the Nine-Tiered White Umbrella of State altar where he paid homage to Buddha statues.
His Royal Highness later listened to the prayer service dedicated to the deceased King by a chapter of monks. At the end of the prayers, His Royal Highness presented saffron robes to the monks.
This was followed by the chanting of blessing prayer. His Royal Highness then paid homage to the royal remains and departed the Throne Hall.
