COVID-19: Three imported cases from France raise national count to 1,206

The three new patients were put in isolation in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province after entering Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City from France on flight VN5010. 

Their second test results on November 3 at the Center for Disease Control of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province came back positive for nCoV. They are now being treated at the Medical Center of Long Dien district, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

Thus, there have been four imported cases diagnosed with the SARS-CoV-2 virus on November 4, with one confirmed in the morning, while four more positive cases were declared to be free from the virus on the same day.

Vietnam has so far registered a total of 1,206 infections, including 1,069 recoveries. The death toll from COVID-19 still stands at 35.

Among the patients still receiving treatment, 29 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 at least one or multiple times.

There are more than 15,260 individuals who came into close contact with confirmed cases or come back from pandemic-hit regions are under quarantine for health observation nationwide.

According to the Ministry of Health, despite the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic being brought under control, there is a possibility that the COVID-19 situation may get worse during the winter-spring season. Therefore, the ministry still recommends that local people wear face masks and regularly wash their hands with sanitizer.
