COVID-19: 370 Vietnamese citizens safely repatriated from Russia

VOV.VN - National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines on October 15-16 safely repatriated 370 Vietnamese citizens left stranded in Russia due to the impact of the COVID-19.

Passengers on board the repatriation flight were minors under 18, elderly people, pregnant women, sick people, guest workers with expired visas and labour contracts, students without accommodation, among others.

The Vietnamese embassy in Russia worked closely with relevant agencies of the host country to facilitate the citizens’ travel and assist them with necessary procedures before departure.

Vietnam Airlines implemented necessary epidemiological measures during the flight to prevent possible spread of the virus.
