Chinese youth pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh in Hanoi
VOV.VN - A delegation of the Communist Youth League of China, along with delegates of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Vietnam paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on April 13.

After paying tribute to President Ho, delegations of Vietnamese and Chinese youth took part in three forums to share opportunities and challenges in technological and innovation startups; improve the quality of grassroots-level Youth Union organisations and the Youth Union’s involvement in Party building; and encourage young intellectuals to engage in national development tasks.
This is part of the 24th Vietnam – China Youth Friendship Meeting 2025 that is taking place in Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh and Ho Chi Minh City from April 12-18.
The friendship meeting is a regular annual event held alternately by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, with each country hosting around 100 young delegates per meeting.
As of this year, the two sides have jointly organized 20 in-person meetings and four virtual meetings due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic (from 2020 to 2024).
The year 2025 marks the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's establishment of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League – the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The 2025 meeting is taking place on the occasion of Chinese Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping’s state visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Party General Secretary To Lam.
It aims to concretise the outcomes and high-level joint statements, while contributing to raising awareness among the young generation of both countries about the new developments in Vietnam - China relations.
The event also seeks to enhance mutual understanding, exchange, and sharing of experiences in youth union work and youth movements between the youth organisations of the two countries.
