Ceremony marks Vietnam-Czech diplomatic ties
VOV.VN - About 300 guests gathered at the Vietnam Embassy in the Czech Republic on January 19 to ceremoniously celebrate the 67th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries and the TET (Lunar New Year).
Vietnam and the Czech Republic relations have continually developed and flourished over the past 67 years, Ambassador to the Czech Republic Truong Manh Son told the guests in a prepared speech.
Jaroslav Kubera, vice president of the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, in turn spoke highly of Vietnam-Czech traditional ties and deep integration of Vietnamese people into the Czech community.
He said the two countries have many great potential for cooperation in a vast array of fields. In addition, he noted the Czech Republic will soon open a consulate in HCM City.
On the occasion, Ambassador Son and Lucas Kaucky, Czech Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, presented insignias for peace and friendship among nations of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Association and to several Czech citizens.
