Car accident kills 11 in Thailand

As many as 11 people were killed in a serious road accident on a highway back to Bangkok , Thailand on June 10.

The fatal accident happened at around 21:00 (local time) in Chonburi province when a passenger car had a tyre burst and then flipped over and burnt into flames.

Only four survived, three of them are being treated in a local hospital.

According to a 2015 survey of the World Health Organisation (WHO) on traffic safety, about 24,000 people die each year in traffic accidents in Thailand, making the kingdom the world’s second in the number of fatalities by traffic accidents, after Libya.
