Boiler explosion kills two and injures one in Binh Phuoc
VOV.VN - A boiler exploded at a company producing cashew oil products in the southern province of Binh Phuoc on August 5, killing two people and injuring one in the process.
The tragedy occurred at 8:20 a.m. at LC Buffalo Co. Ltd in Tan Phu town of Dong Phu district, whose director is Chinese-American Yu Cheng.
The deceased were identified as Nguyen Van Tu, 42, a resident of Tien Hung commune of Dong Xoai city in Binh Phuoc province; and Nguyen Van Thuy, 32, who resided in the central province of Quang Binh. Both of them were working as boiler mechanics.
According to initial information from the scene, some 67 employees were working at the company when the explosion initially happened. Upon receiving news of the blaze, 10 fire engines and 100 firefighters were mobilised at the scene to help suppress the fire, with it finally being brought under control at 10:00 a.m. on the same day.
Police officers are currently investigating the cause of the boiler explosion.
