Another central hospital in Hanoi records local infections
VOV.VN - An additional ten positive COVID-19 cases were detected at Hospital K’s Tan Trieu medical facility No 3 based in Hanoi capital, the Health Ministry reported on May 7 morning.
Ten positive cases detected at Hospital K’s Tan Trieu facility No 3, included patients and their family members, with no healthcare workers being registered so far.
Chairman of the Hanoi municipal People's Committee Chu Ngoc Anh, and Deputy Minister of Health Tran Van Thuan directly inspected the establishment of a medical isolation facility for K Hospital’s Tan Trieu medical facility.
This is the second hospital based in Hanoi that has recorded active cases. The Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases is the first one to report the discovery of more than 50 cases.
Meanwhile, ten other active cases were also found in the capital city, raising the infection tally in Hanoi to 20 in a single morning. The cases were identified as F1 and F2 contacts related to confirmed coronavirus patients.
Elsewhere, the northern provinces of Hai Duong, Hung Yen, and Ha Nam reported the detection of five further positive cases of COVID-19, including one in Hai Duong, three in Hung Yen, and one in Ha Nam coronavirus hotspot. The five coronavirus cases were all associated with infected patients.
The coronavirus has swept through 15 provinces and cities nationwide since the resurgence of the virus on April 27, with 139 community cases detected so far.
