All Vietnamese students win golds at Int'l Chemistry Olympiad 2025
VOV.VN - In a record-breaking performance, all four Vietnamese students have won gold medals at the 57th International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO) 2025, marking the country’s best-ever result in the history of the global competition.

The event, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from July 5 to 14, gathered 354 high school students from 90 countries and territories, competing in the world’s largest and most esteemed chemistry competition for secondary school students.
This year, the Vietnamese team not only achieved a perfect gold medal tally but also had two students ranked among the top 10 globally. With this outstanding performance, Vietnam tied with China and the United States in the overall gold medal count.
It is the first time in history that Vietnam has earned four gold medals at an IChO edition. The achievement continues a strong track record for Vietnam in recent years. From 2020 to 2025, all 24 Vietnamese participants at IChO have brought home medals, including 21 golds and 3 silvers, a feat unmatched in national IChO history.
The IChO competition consists of two parts - a five-hour theoretical exam and a five-hour practical lab exam.
Vietnam’s 2025 success at IChO further cements its status as a leading force in international science Olympiads.
