35 passengers rescued after bus plunges into ravine in Central Highlands
VOV.VN - As many as 35 passengers have been rescued after a bus carrying 36 people plunged into a ravine in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong on March 30 afternoon.

The accident occurred at 5:30 PM when a 45-seat passenger bus was traveling on National Highway 20 from Da Lat to Ho Chi Minh City.
At Km 102+100 of Bao Loc Pass of Lam Dong province, the bus collided with the rear of a truck, causing it to lose control and plunge approximately 20 meters into a ravine.
Immediately after the accident, dozens of local police officers and soldiers rushed to the scene to carry out rescue operations and ensure traffic safety on Bao Loc Pass. Medical staff and doctors were also present to provide first aid to the victims.
Over nearly two hours, rescue teams managed to retrieve the victims from the bus and bring them up, using cables.
A total of 35 people were rescued safely. Among them, three were injured and transported to Lam Dong General Hospital II for treatment, while the rest suffered minor injuries and received on-site first aid.
By approximately 8:00 PM, the last victim was confirmed dead and recovered from the scene by the rescue team.
Local authorities visited the hospital to offer gifts, express condolences, and provide support to the family of the deceased victim and those injured in the accident.
