Vietnamese, Lao localities desire stronger friendly ties

VOV.VN - Dinh Thi Hong Minh, deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the central province of Quang Ngai, received a delegation of the Lao Front for National Construction (LFNC) committee of Sekong province on October 30.

The Vietnamese official affirmed that Quang Ngai always treasures its relationship with southern provinces of Laos, including Sekong, whilst it strongly supports Laos’ ongoing renewal efforts.

Recently, Quang Ngai received and trained students from Laos and created favourable conditions for businesses and investors from the two sides to conduct market surveys, explore investment opportunities, and sign economic and trade contracts, she said.

Hong Minh expressed her hopes that Quang Ngai and Sekong will continue to closely co-ordinate in effectively implementing agreements and enhance exchanges and experience sharing, thus further contributing to deepening and strengthening bilateral ties between the two localities. This is along with boosting the solidarity, special friendship, and comprehensive links that exist between Vietnam and Laos in general.

Bunhien Bunchit, chairwoman of the LFNC Sekong chapter, congratulated on achievements made in the all-around cooperation between Sekong and Quang Ngai, expressing her gratitude for Quang Ngai’s valuable support for the Lao province in recent times.

She agreed that the two localities will strive to intensify exchanges and experience sharing to help further foster their relations in a practical and effective fashion.
