Vietnamese intellectuals in Switzerland optimistic about state apparatus streamlining

Streamlining the administrative apparatus, as directed by General Secretary To Lam, provides an opportunity to select competent, dedicated, and moral officials to improve the political system's efficiency and align it with global development trends, according to Vietnamese intellectuals in Switzerland.

Dr. Luu Vinh Toan, a senior expert at Move Digital AG in Zurich, who keeps a close watch on developments in his homeland, expressed his hope that the process will optimise operations of the political apparatus, thus strengthening public trust, while public services will be further improved for greater efficiency.

The application of digital technologies will help address many bottlenecks previously faced, improve transparency, and prevent fraud, he added.

Sharing Toan’s view on utilising advanced technologies, Ly Pham, Business Development Manager at at JANZZ.technology, showed her support for Vietnam’s streamlining efforts, calling it a necessary and timely step as Vietnam deepens its international integration.

According to Ly, the work will undoubtedly bring many tangible benefits as it contributes to reducing state budget expenditures, allowing more resources for priority areas like education and health care, minimising bureaucracy and wastefulness, improving public service quality, and motivating remaining officials to better their skills, accountability, and dedication.

From her perspective, Rachel Isenschmid, a member of the Swiss-Vietnam Economic Forum (SVEF), highlighted streamlining the administrative system to enhance efficiency, productivity, and sustainability as a crucial and necessary step.

The initiative helps not only improve management efficiency but also creates a more favourable environment for businesses and citizens, she said, noting that a flexible and transparent system will boost investment, encourage innovation, and foster Vietnam's competitiveness in the international arena.

A more streamlined and efficient administrative system will also improve the business environment, thereby strengthening bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Switzerland, she said.
