Polish media hold high expectations for Strategic Partnership with Vietnam

VOV.VN - Polish media outlets have underscored the upgrade of bilateral ties with Vietnam to a Strategic Partnership, assessing that the new framework opens up opportunities for cooperation across trade, investment, defense, education, and science-technology.

Polish media highlight step forward in bilateral ties

On the occasion of the Polish Prime Minister’s visit to Vietnam, numerous Polish news outlets covered and praised the adoption of the Joint Statement on establishing a Strategic Partnership and the Action Plan on strengthening the Vietnam - Poland Strategic Partnership for the 2026 - 2030 period, expecting to unlock new cooperation opportunities in multiple fields.

On Polskie Radio’s web portal, an article emphasized the elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership, affirming that Vietnam and Poland are traditional friends with strong ties and multifaceted cooperation built over more than 76 years of history.

The article quoted Prime Minister Le Minh Hung assessing Poland as Vietnam's leading partner in Central and Eastern Europe. Polskie Radio also noted that defense will serve as a new pillar of the partnership, particularly in security cooperation, including bilateral efforts to combat transnational crime, high-tech crime, and cyber fraud.

Notes from Poland accentuated that Poland and Vietnam upgraded their relations to a Strategic Partnership, pledging to step up cooperation in trade and investment, security and defense, education, science, technology, and cultural exchanges.

Quoting Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, the article affirmed the recent robust economic development of both countries and expressed confidence that Vietnam and Poland share a common growth success story that will open up further opportunities in the coming period.

Vietnamese community an important bridge

Polish media also reported that the Polish Prime Minister described the large Vietnamese community in Poland as a vital link between the two nations. PM Donald Tusk affirmed that this is an industrious and hardworking community that makes positive contributions to Poland's socio-economic development.

Both sides expressed confidence that Vietnam - Poland relations will continue to grow strongly and substantively, bringing practical benefits to the people of both nations while contributing to peace, stability, and development regionally and globally.

Among the positive outcomes, Polish media pointed to the signing of agreements in education and tourism. A key component of these agreements is maintaining and expanding learning and research opportunities for citizens of both countries, increasing the number of scholarships for students and researchers from 20 to 50 for each nation.

On visa issues, the two leaders discussed further relaxing regulations for Polish citizens. Vietnam acknowledged Poland’s proposal and agreed to positively consider expanding the scope of visa exemptions for Polish citizens in accordance with Vietnamese laws and regulations, while asking Poland to positively consider visa exemptions for Vietnamese holders of official passports.
