Leaders pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh on Lunar New Year
VOV.VN - A delegation of the Party Central Committee, the President, the National Assembly (NA), the Government, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee laid wreaths in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum in Hanoi on January 23, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year (Tet) festival.
The delegation included many leaders and former leaders.
With profound respect, the delegation solemnly remembered President Ho Chi Minh, the brilliant leader and national hero, who dedicated his whole life to the country and the people, leading the Party and the people to achieve great victories, bringing glory to the nation.
The delegation laid a wreath and offered incense in tribute to the heroes and martyrs at the Martyrs’ Monument in Bac Son street.
Also on the day, delegations from the Central Military Commission - Defence Ministry, the Central Public Security Party Committee -Ministry of Public Security, the Foreign Ministry, and the municipal Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and VFF Committee of Hanoi paid respects to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, and martyrs at the monument.
Party and State leaders, along with former leaders, also visited Mai Dich Martyrs' Cemetery in Hanoi to lay wreaths and offer incense in honor of revolutionary predecessors and fallen heroes.
