Top legislator commemorates President Ho Chi Minh on Party anniversary
VOV.VN - Top legislator Tran Thanh Man, along with other Party and State leaders, offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his temple in Ba Vì National Park on January 18 in the lead up to the 95th Anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Lunar Year of the Snake 2025.
President Ho Chi Minh is remembered as a genius leader of the Vietnamese revolution, an extraordinary national hero, an eminent international figure, and the founder and leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam, who dedicated his entire life to the nation, the people, the ideals of communism, as well as global peace and justice.
Man and other officials listened to a recording of President Ho’s Declaration of Independence, which proclaimed the establishment of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, at Ba Dinh Square on September 2, 1945.
They also revisited the eulogy delivered by General Secretary Le Duan at the solemn memorial service for President Ho on September 9, 1969, which highlighted his monumental contributions to the nation.
They proudly reported to President Ho on the comprehensive socio-economic achievements made by the nation and the National Assembly in 2024, as well as the key tasks for 2025. This year is seen as a pivotal period to accelerate progress toward fulfilling the development goals set by the 13th National Party Congress, and to drive Vietnam confidently into a new era of national advancement.
Recognizing the significant and urgent revolutionary tasks ahead, the leaders pledged to the late President that the Party, the people, and the armed forces would continue to follow his ideology, ethics, and lifestyle. They emphasized unity, responsibility, innovation, and exemplary leadership in successfully restructuring the political system and achieving the objectives of the 13th National Party Congress.
The delegation also vowed to help successfully organize the 14th National Party Congress, to propel Vietnam into a new era where Vietnam can stand shoulder to shoulder with developed countries worldwide, thus fulfilling President Ho’s aspiration.
