NA votes on multiple resolutions, to close first session later today
VOV.VN - The National Assembly on April 24 is holding a plenary sitting to vote on draft laws and key resolutions, including a resolution approving the 2024 state budget finalisation.
The session is scheduled to close later the same day.
Under the agenda, lawmakers in the morning are voting on the following draft laws and resolutions: a resolution approving the 2024 state budget finalisation; a law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Personal Income Tax, the Law on Value Added Tax, the Law on Corporate Income Tax and the Law on Special Consumption Tax; a resolution on the National Assembly’s supervision programme for 2027 and a resolution on the establishment of a thematic supervision delegation for 2027; a resolution on the development of Vietnamese culture; a resolution on piloting the institution of public lawyers; and a resolution on the establishment of Dong Nai City as a centrally governed city.
The National Assembly will then meet in a closed session to hear a report on the explanation, acceptance and revision of a draft resolution on specific mechanisms and policies to handle violations of land law by organisations and individuals that occurred before the 2024 Land Law takes effect, as well as measures to continue removing obstacles for pending and prolonged projects, before voting to adopt the resolution.
Lawmakers will later hold a closing sitting and vote to adopt several resolutions, including a resolution on the five-year socio-economic development plan for 2026-2030; a resolution on the national five-year financial plan for 2026-2030 and the public debt borrowing and repayment plan for the same period; a resolution on the medium-term public investment plan for 2026-2030; and the resolution of the first session of the 16th legislature.
