VOV.VN - Vietnam Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong met with senior Chinese leaders – Li Keqiang, Zhang Dejiang and Wang Qishan – in Beijing on Friday (Jan. 13), vowing to boost relations.

The Vietnam Party Leader says Vietnam is glad to see China's new achievements and the stable growth of bilateral ties between the two countries.

He pledges closer cooperation between the two countries at a meeting with President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Li Xiaolin.

The enhancement of mutual understanding, friendship, trust and cooperation between the two peoples is necessary to develop relations,Trong stresses. Above: Deputy PM and FM Pham Binh Minh presents the Friendship Order to Li Xiaolin.

Above: Mr Trong shakes hands with Jin Liqun, president of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, who applauds Vietnam for its trade liberalization policies that facilitate foreign investment.

Trong also meets with Jonathan Choi, president of the Sunwah Group, based out of Hong Kong, China a leading investor in Vietnam for more than 40 years, who applauds the country’s economic success.

China Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang says China highly values its ties with Vietnam, and hopes to fully tap cooperation potential under frameworks such as China-ASEAN and Lancang-Mekong cooperation.

Chinese leaders say they are ready to synergize China's Belt and Road Initiative with Vietnam's 'Two Corridors and One Economic Circle' plan and achieve balanced commercial trade.

Zhang Dejiang, chair of the National People’s Congress of China Standing Committee, says China's National People's Congress attaches importance to its friendly ties with the National Assembly of Vietnam.

Wang Qishan, secretary of the Chinese Party Central Committee’s Commission for Discipline Inspection briefs Trong on the achievements and status of the CPC and its anti-corruption campaign.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong attends a friendship meeting in Beijing to celebrate the 67th anniversary of Vietnam-China diplomatic ties and the upcoming Lunar New Year.

Trong vows to continue to promote regional economic integration, trade liberalization and to work tirelessly to facilitate investment between China and Vietnam.

On this occasion, the delegates enjoy a performing arts program with songs and dances characteristic of Vietnam and China.
